I have a slight obsession with horrible 80’s horror movies. Only the cheesy b-movies of course. I don’t watch any new horror movies that come out now. The Ring? Come on now. Nike SB Horror Pack is extremely fun and exciting for me. The latest is the Nike SB Freddy Krueger Dunk Low which I want. A lot of people tell me they would never wear a shoe like that. You don’t have to wear it, just appreciate it. And I would rock that shit, I love it.
As the combo itself should be remarkable. The duo just can’t seem to go along together. Marc Jacobs and a slip-on? Yeah it could work if it was a ballet flat but a sneaker? No, it doesn’t work that well. This sneaker (not the greatest to begin with) is the only shoe that was semi-cool looking or I would even wear. If you’re wearing a VAN who the heck would care or even notice if it was Marc Jacobs? Noone. It’s a VAN shoe, come on now. I’ll take the Prada burger please.
Who is the only person worthy enough to have his own category on 8 Mill? It’s undoubtedly Vanilla Ice. This Vanilla Ice Blazer (part of the “Fallen Heroes” pack) are pretty fly eh? Red suede, an ice blue swoosh, and white stars to pull it together. He’s my favorite white star
Vans is always coming out with a new limited edition this and that every other week. This time they are collaborating with The Simpsons (dun dun dun dun dun dun dun) like everyone else is (7-11). They are having twelve different artists create a new series that will be released upon us on July 14th. I hope there’s a blue sneaker in appreciation of Marge’s great hair.
Nicekicks.com Presents ‘Kickin’ It’ a new online Web-TV show that will debut Friday, April 20th. Be sure to check it out, they know what they’re talking about. There will be behind the scene interviews with major players in the industry and lots of information from sneaker-heads as well. Here’s a preview for it:
They are pretty darn snazzy. Almond has teamed up once again with New Balance to create these sneakers. How many dudes are going to rock a heart pendant though? They’re pretty hot to me. The purple & gold, the stars, all of it. For the love or money…gotta get that money man.
You don’t know this but uh, Joy Division…is my favorite band. Yours too? No suh, oh my gosh, really, nooo? Now I don’t care much about New Balance but when you’ve got a sneaker that is giving a tribute to my favorite band, well you’ve got a pair of shoes i’m going to own. That’s for damn sure. Noone knows for sure when they will be released but be relieved to know, oh you know I’m going to keep on checking for updates. They were designed by Dylan Adair, an independent artist and New Balance is waiting on approval for them to go into production. Hurry that shit up man. So I guess you’ll be needing MP3s from the Unknown Pleasures album. Buy here.
Check out Sneaks for Freaks shoes. These little 12 inch vinyl figures are damn cute. They are miniature versions of all your favorites. They sell for about $7.95 each. I’m a damn toy fiend, I can’t get enough. And sneakers too? Well damn, I want these.
I don’t know if you’ve ever seen Do The Right Thing by Spike Lee but it’s one of the greatest cult films ever made. It is hilarious, even the cheesy black and white jokes are funny. It was one of the first to do it so give it, its due props. The movie is really good and you should definitely see it if you can. Now there is a pair of “Do The Right Thing” Air Jordan Spizikes and they are the third Spizikes in tie with Spike Lee.The first was for 40 Acres and a Mule and then the second was inspired by Black History Month. I dig this movie so much, that I would buy the shoes even if they were completely wack. But I love them, I love them!
“Yo MAN! Your Jordans are Fucked Up!”
“Dem shits is broke!”
“He did that shit on purpose man, he was even talking about your mama!”
