Kanye on Jimmy Kimmel
September 16, 2007
Should anyone really get this upset over losing just a VMA? Do the VMA’s even count as a real award for music talent? Yes, videos are an important tool in an artist’s career but they aren’t everything. Television ruined the radio star.
“**** MTV. Y’all heard what the **** I said… Five nominations. I ****in’ lost to Black Eyed Peas last year, man. I’m never coming to MTV. Ya’ll find Britney. Get Britney. Get a real ****in’ artist. Get Britney Spears. I ain’t ****in’ with this pop ****. God****. Give me a ****in’ chance. Give a black man a chance. I’m tryin’ hard. I got the ****in’ #1 record. I’m tryin’ man. I don’t even get a ****in’ chance. They don’t want a ****in’ black man in that position.”
Kanye recently had a super-exclusive listening premiere party for his new album. He had crazy visuals with lighting and lazer effects. Guests invited to the theatre were treated to free popcorn and boozie smoothies plus an open bar. Even cooler is that they were all given plastic sunglasses in replica of the ones he wore in his Stronger video. Tell me where I can score a pair of these? Plastic or not.
Watch R. Kelly’s whole entire Hip Hopera “Trapped in the Closet”. Don’t hate on Trapped in the Closet. It goes in so many directions and stories, but i’m sure even Kelly forgot where he was going with this. Midgets, fat white chicks, lots of guns, shootings, sex, sex, & more sex. What else would you expect from a story made by R. Kelly? Also add in lots of ooohhss and ahhhhs (standard R&B music practice) and sexy background music. What is Kelly saying about life? Anyone and everyone will cheat? Love is not sacred we’re all victims of infidelity and love affairs. Temptation is everywhere and the whole story is based on love triangles. Even admist a sex scandal the man will always deliver you more sex. That’s what you’ve got to love about this man. You’ll never change a player.
Are you kidding me? He’s got to be stupid to go after Nas? When I think of violent rappers, Nas is definitely not the first to come to mind. Nas? Nas?! Nas is rapping about the pain, the struggle, and makes motivational songs. I don’t think “gangster” or “guns” when I think of Nas. This is a bunch of crap.
Lil Mama isn’t hitting me the same way she did when she first popped out the game. I’m tired of her to be honest. I think she tries way too hard and all her songs are too poppy and candy coated. She is what..sixteen or so…so her music should be about lollipops and not about sucking them like Lil Kim but she just irritates me now. I don’t take her seriously as a rapper and it’s not because she’s a girl. Lil Mama definitely reminds me of the kids that come off of the Disney Channel. Are you sure she wasn’t an extra on Raven?
I’m a Chad Vader fan, i’ve been since the early days. Their success got too big and the episodes became a whole lot cheesier but I still appreciate it. I’m still interested in the plot line. I was upset when he got fired. I hoped he would get Karissa in the end. Honestly, he does a better Chocolate Rain than the damn original.
Fifty isn’t happy with MTV’s hottest MC list. Neither am I but relax already. It’s only the opinions of a panel of jackasses anyway. Relax already kid. Yes it’s true, if you had a wicked hot single right now then you would be up a bunch of spots. The list is very flawed in fact it’s completely flawed.

“MTV can suck my dick. (Not a way to get your videos played and most of his fan base consists of the MTV white kid crowd. He’s alienating his fans.) It doesn’t matter. (Why else would he be going on a tantrum if it didn’t matter to him.) I could say whatever I want. (No, you can’t. You can’t go around saying people can suck my dick, there’s a line that can’t be pushed too far. It’s one thing to do it in your music as a form of art [lol...art] or as a way of self expression. White people can’t say nigga you can’t say…go suck my dick. Decency…self control) If I want to be an asshole, idiot, I could just say whatever I want. (You are!) You know what I mean, like, I’m just doing this as an example, because I don’t really mean literally MTV could—I could say it, like MTV could say that that’s their favorite artist because that’s one person’s opinion. (Are you calling MTV idiots and assholes? What are you trying to say?) Whoever they said, “Can you go out and set up this list for us.” That’s their opinion who they put in. They put Game number three when I wrote the three singles that created him. (I’m pretty sure they placed him there because of his last most recent album that you had absolutely nothing to do with. These aren’t the G-Unit days anymore.) What does that mean? That I’m number 3? Because you’re not into me this week, I get a chance to sit in the number eight spot, (The only thing that he’s said that has made any sense.) but the project that I created is number three. (That’s nothing new. The people behind the music never get the credit. The managers, the producers, aren’t the ones who get the distinction. You know Rihanna didn’t write that damn Umbrella song.)“
