Kanye recently had a super-exclusive listening premiere party for his new album. He had crazy visuals with lighting and lazer effects. Guests invited to the theatre were treated to free popcorn and boozie smoothies plus an open bar. Even cooler is that they were all given plastic sunglasses in replica of the ones he wore in his Stronger video. Tell me where I can score a pair of these? Plastic or not.
Do you know nockFORCE? nockFORCE is a dope mixure of music, cartoons and general freshness. It’s a webcartoon by Jim Gisriel and Ian Jones-Quartey who produce, write, and pretty much do everything. It’s pretty funny. Some of the quickie videos are like those shorts on Comedy Central’s ‘Shorties watching Shorties’ (or something like that).
Aesop Rock’s newest LP, None Shall Pass, can’t come out soon enough. I can not wait till the day it drops August 28th (too far away). I’ve been a big Aesop fan since day one. I’ve been waiting oh so long. It’s the only reason I want the summer to end quickly. Every song i’ve heard so far is killer. He’s back and greater than ever. Have you heard “Coffee“? It is insane and John Darnielle from The Mountain Goats is in it. I’m dieing with anticipation… Preorder None Shall Pass and get a signed copy & poster.
And I must say he looks a hell of a lot better than some of you bitches up in the club! Junkie dancing will catch on soon enough. But drunk slutty dancing will never die! Long live intoxication!
The black staff of MTV still cater to white kids. A bunch of black folk composed this list. And apparently pop music about sex is what makes you a great MC…..Being a hot MC means creating a dance move or making metaphors about a woman’s body. Would you expect anything less of MTV’s picks? Common? Ha ha did they just throw him in there for laughs? Why wasn’t it P Diddy or Cam’Ron? A few years ago it would have been Nelly. But Common? He’s too good for this list. Jay-Z and Kanye ….. good but still MTV bitches.

It’s really sad because I want my Fugees back. I really can’t stand to hear all this awful talk about Lauryn Hill anymore. She’s a god in my eyes. I’ve yet to see any of these terrible performances I keep hearing of. I refuse to watch them. Even if they are horrible I’ll probably still enjoy them because it’s freaking Lauryn Hill. The first CD Album I ever bought was ‘The Score’. I guess it’s better this way anyhow. Somehow I think if they were to ever record another album it would end up sounding along the lines of a Timbaland/Will.I.AM record and then their legacy would be ruined for me. “Ooo la la la it’s the way we rock, when we doing our thing”
