I’m waiting and anticipating for “I’m Not There’ the upcoming film about Bob Dylan being directed by Todd Haynes. If you haven’t heard about it, you need to. Basically the film tries to show Bob Dylan through a number of different actors for every time he tried to reinvent himself. (If I confused you, here’s a direct quote from Hayes “It’s about his life in a nontraditional way. I’m going to use a variety of characters to tell his story. It’s going to show all of his changes and the way he captured and epitomized the needs in the culture, and the tension that he personified, and his resistance to that which led him to constantly reinvent himself.” ….yeah) Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Cate Blanchett, and Richard Gere are all taking on Bob Dylan. That cast alone is kind of shaky. I’ll be first to knock this film if it sucks. And i’m sure it will. Please don’t do Dylan wrong!!
Richard Gere :: Well it’s Richard Gere, there’s nothing to say there. Shouldn’t he be making a romantic comedy? How old is he now? Geesshh Christian Bale :: He’s batman! But he’s a good actor….I think Heath Ledger :: God allmighty, I’ll never ever be able to shake him from ‘A Knight’s Tale’. I just can’t. He’s also going to be the Joker next? Cate Blanchett :: Well, the reasons for doubt are quite obvious. I bet she’ll put on the best performance out of all of them.
Yeah, Mrs. Altongi I mean you. I’m watching you. I hate my old neighbor and her stupid son. I know you’ve got a dead body up in there and I’m going to catch you one of these days….. I love this set. I don’t really like the design persay but The Streets is Watchin’ is funny. This set is from Swagger and available over at Zozo.
This is sooooooooooooo bad. Garfield was horrible and now they gotta CGI my homes the chipmunks? Why? Whyyyy? Jason Lee how can you do this? Fuck you Jason Lee! Jason Lee, how do you not see this as being a horrrrible career choice?
It’s the no-name movie trailer they have been playing before Transformers in theaters.
Some say it’s a Godzilla movie, maybe that’s because we are looking up as if it’s something tall and the dinosaur-like screeches that can be heard. Another guess is that since this is a film by JJ Abrams (the Lost guy) this movie is another part of the Lost franchise and this is what happens to the rest of the world after blowing up the hatch on the island. The noises sound a lot like the monster on Lost and this would certainly put Lost on the map forever. Why does the Statue of Liberty’s head freak everyone out? What I’ve learned is this:
-Could possibly be called “Cloverfield”
-It’s a sort of mix of War of the Worlds & The Blair Witch Project
- Possibly the premise is a giant alien known as “The Parasite” invades Earth and it is filmed entirely with handheld cameras.
-The movie isn’t even done filming and the trailer was filmed before the movie was finished. Not much is known about the movie, and it has been widely regarded as a secret movie and Cloverfield may be a temporary title.
-People also think it could be a remake of ‘The Host’
-Rumored to be a secret Godzilla movie (setting is in New York/references to Japan (the Rob character is moving to Japan the day after the teaser is set).
-Some think there’s a connection to Voltron. Voltron is a shape-changing robot from the 80’s tv series “Voltron: Defender of the Universe.”
-”Anyboy see it? What is it?”
“I saw it. It’s alive, it’s huge.” People think he says “I saw it. It’s a lion, it’s huge.” And that would go right along with the Voltron rumor.
From a hobbit to a stooge. I’ve never been a huge fan of Elijah Wood but since he released the newest Apples in Stereo album, I’ve decided to give him a chance. Recently he has been cast to play Iggy Pop in a film based on the early years of his career. It will be called ‘The Passenger’. Iggy even gave his blessing to the project. Does that mean he gave blessing to Elijah playing him? Why the hell Elijah anyway? Even Jared Leto I think could play a better Iggy.
Tell me why that when I saw this picture and before I even looked closely at their faces, I knew this had to be a film that Paul Rudd was in? The mustaches? The long hair? The dirty faces?
I’m a bit late to make a post on this film, since it’s release date is today in selected cities. But atleast there is finally a hip-hop movie worth watching. Not just about Slim Shady or Fiddys “so-called” life story. All I keep hearing, is “oh shit Bruce Willis makes a cameo appearance”. The story starts through the voice of Kazi, who is fed up with rap music’s focus on money and violence. Kazi brings together a group of NY teenagers and follows them through their evolution as an outreach program. We also follow them through their lives as they try to change the music industry and find themselves using hip-hop as a vehicle to do so. In the process proving Hip-hop is is not all about the negativity that it is classified by. Through hip-hop they find hope, self-development, personal discovery, and healing all while following their dreams.
Nazi … Zombies … War Are you absolutely excited and dieing to see this?
The thing about this project is there is no actual movie. No movie has been made. These promos were created to try and find some investors that would help finance and produce the project and their idea. The are hoping to convince people not just with a script, that’s already done, but with actual footage, a glimpse, an insight of how amazing this film would be. It would be a cult-classic. They already have thousands of fans that have joined their “Guerilla Army” (you can join also) in support of this film and are willing to help and/or become an extra for the movie. The promos themselves are beautiful, I hope the film would live up to the hype. Putting an actual plot to it might ruin. Someone said let’s leave it a silent film, not a bad idea. That’s a new theme for a zombie film. (I am a zombie fanatic!)
“The original screenplay of this horrormovie centers on the common friction between neighboring countries. It’s a global phenomenon, and even in peaceful Western Europe you will find old grudges. If you dig deep enough. In the final of the World Championship soccer games Holland and Germany are going to war. A visiting American and his family try to get away from the nationwide frenzy, but traveling to a North Sea island they wind up in situations far, far worse.”
