Jay-Z Approves Slavery?

May 29, 2007

40club.jpg

Jay-Z & his 40/40 Club are getting hit with lawsuits from unpaid employees. Allegations include that the club owned by jigga has been paying employees under minimum wage, keeping a percentage of the workers’ tips, & refusing overtime pay for them. (I can believe the story though many believe it’s just a scam. I have worked in that industry and can tell you plenty of times I was paid wrong. Also management did refuse to give over time and tips were taking a lot of the time.) Over 100 employees have joined the suit. Over 100? Over 10 tells you there is a problem here. Hopefully this isn’t true, Shawn Carter, but I have a hard time believing that this many people can be in on one big scam. The spokesman for the 40/40, Ron Berkowitz says the allegations are false and the club has not been served any papers yet.

Lily’s Beef w/ Lohan

May 28, 2007

lily.jpg

Have you ever read anything on Lily Allen’s myspace blog? She doesn’t shut up at all. She goes on and on and on. She tells every little thing she does like some how it matters. And most of the time all I ever hear is how she posts about her weight and her constant little beefs she has going. When I read her blog, I could actually hear her voice saying it in my head. That little lisp-like accent she does ever so well.

Monday, May 28, 2007:
After that we went to this club called Les Deux , and that was really fun untill Linsay Lohan arrived and had us thrown off our table , I know shes a huge star an all , and famous people deserve to sit down especially when they’ve been working so hard , but whatevs . Linday our thoughts are with you as you go through this difficult time in your life ( she got arrested this weekend ) in the words of Timbaland and Timberlake ” what goes around …………..”

Cheryl if you’re reading this , I may not be as pretty as you but at least I write and SING my own songs without the aid of autotune . I must say taking your clothes off , doing sexy dancing and marrying a rich footballer must be very gratifying , your mother must be so proud , stupid bitch .

Backwards Americans
The blogosphere is going crAzy right now , apparantly I said that all Americans are backwards in some interview . While some americans probably ARE ( every country has a backwards contingent ) , That would be a sweeping generalisation and also not true . I think there are some very clever americans . I don’t actually remember saying these things , but they were said in Texas which is where the SXSW festival was , therefore I must have been very drunk and showing off . Soz

Dear Lady Sovereign

In response to Miss sovereigns comments , I’ve spoken to my Dad and he says he’d be happy to adopt you if you think it will give you a leg up .

The 21-year-old rapper - who is enjoying chart success in the US - thinks it is unfair she is attacked in Britain for her sense of style, while Lily is lauded for her quirky dress sense. Lady Sovereign told the Observer Music Monthly magazine: ‘I’m not appreciated. You get some of the media hating people like me ’cause they’re chavish but Lily is the biggest chav going and everyone seems to love her.’ The ‘Public Warning’ singer insists she doesn’t hate Lily, but thinks she has had it easy, because she is the daughter of successful comic actor Keith Allen. She added: ‘I’m not hating on her but someone like Lily Allen, just ’cause her dad’s famous, doesn’t have to work as hard as someone like me.’

Kanyes Just a Kid

May 26, 2007

Sneak preview into one of his rooms:

“Oh this right here? Yes, you’re correct… the fendi trunk”
Kanye is cocky as hell. Nigga, we’d all have cool shit like that if we had a few mill too. Kanye even found someone with a bigger mouth than him, man got a pacman pillow the size of his ego. Let’s not forget his vintage desk now. No, it’s not futuristic. I think he’s been drinking out of that green bottle.

Music that Gets You High: I-Doser

I-Doser: Binaural Brainwave Doses for Every Imaginable Mood

iloser.jpg

The site says through a series of songs with their advanced binaural beats they can synchronize your brainwaves to a state where you actually feel high as if you had taken drugs. And then they have tracks that can help you get a mood lift, hallucinate you, sedation, anti-anxiety, sleep, & more. There is a section for FAQs and then my favorite “the I-Doser Experiences” where “people” submit their reactions to I-Doser. Supposedly they can “tap” into the brain and reach places your brain has never been, buddy.

“I didn’t have an out of body experience, but man did I have an experience. (first dose ever) I immediately felt really relaxed and I mean REALLY relaxed. And things around me kind of started to bend, but only if I really looked at them. Then I looked down and my chest was moving up and down, but I couldn’t feel myself breathing. My father sneezer behind me, it startled me and a flood of something rushed though my whole body. Then the clock ran its hourly sound and it sounded like it was slightly robotic and the acoustic guitar sounded robotic as well. Can’t wait to try out more.”

Party Fun Action Committee

May 25, 2007

undero.jpg

Here’s the comedy duo and hip-hop group, PFAC (Party Fun Action Committee) on the Definitive Jux Label. Yes, home of Aesop, El, Murs, Lif, Cannibal, Calm Pete, RJD2, Cage, Hangar 18, & More. It’s actually surprising that they are even near there calibur. They are more like those two white guys that make in fun of rap by wearing funny get-ups, their hats backward, and rapping about homework.

letsgetserious.jpg

They’ve only had one album, Let’s Get Serious, that is a satire of an actual hip-hop album. The two men behind the committee, are Blockhead & Jer. Blockhead is actually a well-known producer who has done songs for Aesop & Cage. The thing about their album (if you haven’t heard of it, it did come out in 2003) is that it’s just one big satire where two white record execs. listen to a box of demo tapes and rate every song. Each song attacks a genre of hip-hop music.
