Sweatheart is a pop group from Phili with three main members: Thom Lessner, Rose Luardo, & Amanda Blank. They perform live with a backing band, “the toddlers”. They are a whole lot of crazy and channel the 80s to a ‘T’. www.myspace.com/sweatheartsweat
Noone sounds like this, noone sounds like American Sneakers. I really like their music and I normally don’t like acoustic all that much. You should really check out more of their other songs on their myspace page to get a feel for them. I’m wicked digging this group.
“American Sneakers is the duo of musician/producer Steven Ward James and visual artist/song writer Jayson Scott Musson. James’ acoustic guitar playing breathed life into the scraps of words that Musson had floating around in his small sad head, pulling them all together to create the beautiful and simple songs on the Darts & Daggers LP. Philadelphia’s famed artist Jim Houser provides the original visual packaging for American Sneakers.” -Free News Project

Sony, in attempts to get some exposure and promote the UK launch of God of War II brought a decapitated goat to their greek themed costume party and had attendees reach inside to feast upon the goat’s insides. Turns out the insides were not goat flesh as previous rumors were reported but instead the goat was filled with a meat soup. This same meat soup was fed to everyone there in China bowls. Pictures of the feast were featured in the Offical PS2 Magazine. There were pictures of topless women in them as well. This issue has been recalled for all 80,000 issues originally put out on newstands. What is PETA going to say?
Again, another game I’m going to go crazy waiting for. Call of Duty is coming out with another edition, entitled “Modern Warfare”. The original creators of the first two are coming back for this fourth one. That’s good because the first two were great. The action will take place in present day Middle East. Call of Duty has always been a WWII franchise, it’ll be interesting to see it in a whole new field in contemporary times. They are skipping so much ground and areas they good have went in. Why not the Pacific War or the Korean War? There are so many games out there already, it’ll be hard for them to stand out now in this genre. Activision is not releasing any other details on the game yet.
Interesting Fact: Most shooter games only have 2/3 target points on the head when aiming. This game has 16. You can blow pieces of someone’s face off, for example: you will be able to shoot off an enemies ear. Also you can shoot someone in the side of the head and make their helmet spin off their head.
Check out for more details as they come, over at : CharlieOscarDelta.com, the official site of Call of Duty 4.
To celebrate their new release “I Believe In You. Your Magic Is Real.” Yacht is having two shows that are ironic in nature. They are putting on two rare concerts in Portland that will be go down in Yacht history. You haven’t seen a show like this before. First they start off with a nice intimate show on a yacht and then head over to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry for a bigger show. Space is very limited for the show on the boat.
