Ink Film-Based on Mister Cartoon

 

Here’s a quick glimpse of the movie “Ink” based on Mr. Cartoon, his work, and the relationship between it and the hip-hop community by Estevan Oriol. He is probably the most famous tattoo artist I can think of. His tattoos are known all over. The fact of the matter is, he is a celebrity tattoo artist. So ultimately they’re going to get shown. It’s like when a celebrity dons a designer shirt, for example: Pharrell pimps the shit out of bbc, you see them everywhere & now they’re real hot. You see it on a celebrity suddenly it gets status. (Kanye=LRG skeleton hoodie=same thing) He does have a grimey dirty raw edge to his art though, that you automatically want to associate with the Los Angeles hardcore gangster lifestyle thats being flashed everywhere. The film looks very interesting except for the celebrity shout outs and name dropping that is no doubt through out the whole entire movie.
