Ice Ice Coffee

March 26, 2007

First turbo tax, now ice coffee! Vanilla Ice is caught up in another competition almost exactly like the turbo tax one. The contest required contestants to rewrite the words of “Ice, Ice Baby”, to promote ice coffee. People took the stage for a chance to win $1000 and a year supply of ice coffee obviously. One of the contestants, Kerry Michaels, dropped the line “Word to your cruller!,” probably the coolest shit I’ve heard all day.

Hip Hop Lives

KRS-ONE, “the Teacha”, and Marley Marl, one of hip hop’s first super-producers, team up once again, to follow up on Nas. KRS-ONE is making an album called “Hip Hop Lives”, which will be executive produced by Marley Marl and will be released May 22nd, 2007. KRS has always been an outspoken leader for the hip hop community, only makes sense he’d stick up for it. Here’s an old school track:

The Yellow Bus Rydah

March 26, 2007

Mistah F.A.B., the yellow bus rydah is dealing with so much controversy over his single “Ghost Ride It”, which by the way is very catchy. First Ghostbusters enthusiasts, dorks, were pissed off that some people in the video were wearing the Ghostbuster proton packs upside down, can’t even make that shit up! But now his video is getting banned all over (of course you can see it here) because he is being blamed for the deaths of some people who died while ghost riding. On top of it being banned, Columbia Pictures (owners of Ghostbuster Franchise) are demanding it to be completely pulled. He is responding back with a mixtape entitled “Can’t Ban The Ghost Rider.” I like the song but I guess I can see where this would be a bad decision letting people see it. I do kind of want to go out and buy a yellow bus and ghost ride, now that I have seen the video.

Gun Alarm

Hot? An alarm clock controlled by a light game gun? You shoot off some rounds instead of pressing the snooze button. And then on top of that, the gun should be angled/tilted/moved to control its other functions like setting the time.

Another Brand Collaboration

Why is it everything Supreme touches turns to gold? Supreme and Oakley team up as a great duo with these new killer shades. I can picture these on Humpty humpster or Shock G from the Digital Underground (I love them). I love these sunglasses, lately the only thing everyone has been hyping is the come-back of the aviator. I also love the movie Nothing But Trouble because I’m a huge Chevy Chase fan. Plus it does have Tupac in it.
