You’ve got Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger, & The Candy Man all in one feature. Of course they aren’t playing those defying roles but they are in fact together to create the next horror icon, Victor Crowley in Hatchet.
And It goes a little something like this: “Once there was a boy named Victor Crowley. He was born hideously deformed, and sadly, folks weren’t too kind to him. So he spent most of his life hidden in his Daddy’s house out in the bayou. One Halloween night, the local children came throwing firecrackers at the house to tease and scare him. And the old Crowley house caught fire. When Victor’s Daddy arrived home, the house was in flames. He went to the barn, grabbed himself a hatchet, and started chopping down the front door. But what he didn’t know was that Victor was pressed up against the other side, trying to get out. He hit him square in the face with the hatchet… and poor Victor Crowley died. The old man went into mourning and became a recluse after that. Never left the house. Never spoke to anyone. He finally passed away about ten years later. And that’s when the stories started. They say people tend to disappear in that swamp. And if you get close enough to the old Crowley house at night you can still hear Victor Crowley. Still roaming in the woods. Still crying for his Daddy.” - Louisiana Folklore
I can’t wait, I can’t wait. You can find out a lot more about the movie at it’s site. The cast is good, especially the older cast and if it lives up to the hype it will be the first good horror in years. It doesn’t come out till September 7th, though. It’s too early to geek out about it. It could so easily turn out to be horrible like the rest of Hollywood’s attempts.
Maybe one day Victor can join Horror F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
Just when you thought you owned enough t-shirts…but you can’t, can you? Everyday I see about a dozen new t-shirts that I just have to own. I love these shirts that are made by Black Tooth. Black Tooth has a pretty decent line, everything is sharp and you should definitely check them out. Their Spring/Summer 2007 line is very limited though. Some shirts are only being at 12 a piece.
I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of this shop but it is called Avant Gaudy. They call it “experimental vintage for the new garde”. Honestly, they are just trying to sell what they believe hipsterism is. But, I do have to give it to them, everything they sell is pretty badass and everything they sell is way cheap. They have some really good bargains and I happen to like just about everything they’ve got. You should check it out.
Kidrobot and my fav Lemar & Dauley have joined forces to create this “Rainbow” hoodie in a black/pink color scheme. It is the second version of this print. The first at the Kidrobot launch sold out in a matter of hours. This sweater comes made with an interior iPod pocket, cord loop, & headphone hole. Only 256 will be available in men sizes and 122 in women. It was released yesterday at all all Kidrobot locations. Hurry up because they will all be gone, no doubt.

Man Man is already on a tour but now they are going to open for Modest Mouse. I like both bands a lot, so I’m pretty excited to see this team up. I already plan on going to see Man Man in May. They are going to blow up, they already own the blog-o-sphere. All they need to do now is make it on Grey’s Anatomy.
Pre-Sale begins March 31st, be sure to check out the Official site, rockthebells.net for more details. I don’t think there is one show on Earth, i’d rather go to. Even the hosts excite me.
The new limited edition box set from Stone Throw for J Dill includes the ruff draft tape cassette and the very exclusive turn it up tee designed by Stone Throw’s Alfred Hawkins.
White House adviser Karl Rove grabs the spotlight at the Radio and Television Correspondents’ Association dinner with comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood. I love how Colin starts beat boxing. This is just amazingly brilliant and terrible and godly all at the same time. I’m almost completely speechless about it. It’s not shocking, it’s just insane. Why? Why? WHY? I almost wish I hadn’t seen it, I have a lot of mixed feelings about it.
There is something about Stuart James’ voice that is so calming and relaxing. Is it the accent? You don’t know what he is saying but you believe it. Boy, does he give Twista some competition. He doesn’t care if you have all his songs for free either. (Note: Some are small MP3s) Don’t listen right after the other though, too much is too much.
